Today we have had a very FULL agenda. We learned all about the history of Mt. Evans this afternoon with our interns while our high school leaders went through their special training. After that, we had a delicious dinner, a fire drill, and then were taught the infamous doot dance, which we will perform every morning at breakfast.
This evening was astronomy night. We learned all about spectroscopy, the planets, and we even got to use Mt. Evans' super-powerful telescope to look at Vega in the night sky.
The scenary here is spectacular. I think we all keep looking up and are still stunned to see these massive mountains around us. We are truly grateful for this outdoor classroom.
All the kids AND teachers are exhausted. We just tucked the students in and will be turning in ourselves shortly... We have a 6:45 a.m. wake-up call ahead of us.
