Visitors, Special Interests, Line Dancing, and Mammals

First, we had a bunch of visitors at Outdoor Lab today.  This morning Mr. Kenney and Scott came up and participated in the Archery class.  Then, Mrs. Higley came up for lunch.  Mrs. Deignan, our wonderful Kindergarten teacher, came for dinner, and she and Mrs. Higley stayed all the way through our evening programs.

Students also got to participate in their first high-school-leader-run special interest class.  The students chose between friendship bracelets, water color, team building, snowshoeing, and a camera hike.  Then we did our class meeting, dinner, and had a bit of a break.

Our evening program was line dancing!  We had Ms. Schaeffer come and teach us 5 dances... The kids had a REALLY good time and got out a lot of energy.  I have some video that I will try to upload here on the site of our highly coordinated dance moves.

We also had a Colorado Mammals program run by our awesome high school leaders.  The kids got to see, touch, and learn about different animal pelts.  Enjoy the pictures (and hopefully video) below.
